Jessica Cheng

Jessica Cheng is a Costa Rican sculptor. She earned a Licenciatura in Fine Arts with an emphasis in sculpture from the University of Costa Rica in 2012 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in sculpture from the same institution in 2010.

Her work includes participation in international sculpture symposia in Switzerland, Denmark, and Poland, including HolzArt Woche (Elm), Wasserberg (Zürich), Ringkøbing, and Sønderborg. In 2024, she created the Peace Dove Monument for the International Peace Forum in Łódź, Poland, and presented the individual exhibition Co-inhabiting at Monopolis in Łódź.

She has also participated in exhibitions and symposia in Costa Rica, including the Juan Ramon Bonilla Tridimensional Biennial at the Municipal Museum of Cartago. Her work is included in permanent and private collections, including installations at the National Children’s Museum of Costa Rica, where she has also completed restoration projects.

She received third place in the Miniature Painting and Sculpture Contest at the Museum of Jade and Pre-Columbian Culture in Costa Rica.
