Olivier Delobel
Olivier Delobel is a French sculptor based in Narbonne. He studied art history in Toulouse and received a diploma from the School of Fine Arts in Toulouse. He also completed a 20-month residency in Carrara, Italy, studying at the Accademia di Belle Arti and the Istituto del Marmo Pietro Tacca.
His work has been presented in solo exhibitions and international symposia across France, Spain, Belgium, and Israel, including the Salon d’Automne in Paris, the Museu Europeu d’Art Modern in Barcelona, and multiple marble and stone symposia in Saint-Béat, Samoëns, and Caunes-Minervois.
Delobel has completed numerous public commissions, including bronze statues and busts installed in France and internationally. Notable works include a statue of Charles Trénet in Narbonne, a life-size statue of Johnny Hallyday in Port-Fréjus, and a monumental sculpture Daphné commissioned by the city of Castelnaudary, based on a work from the Musée d’Orsay. His work is also held in public collections, including the Museu Europeu d’Art Modern in Barcelona.
In addition to his sculptural practice, he has worked since 2008 as an epithesis assistant in a laboratory specializing in ocular and facial prosthetics in Montpellier.
