​Gabriela Nieva

Gabriela Nieva is an Argentine visual artist specializing in sculpture and muralism. She has formal training in visual arts with a focus on ceramics, painting, and sculpture, including studies in stone carving and marble sculpture in Catamarca and Córdoba.

She currently works in the cultural and protocol sector for the Municipality of Recreo, Catamarca, where she creates murals and sculptures for public spaces, institutions, and private commissions. Her work has been presented in national and international sculpture symposia and artist gatherings across Argentina, Uruguay, and Europe.

Her sculptures have been created in a range of materials including marble, wood, cement, and stone, and include works such as El Abrazo, which received third prize at the International Virtual Symposium “Social Hope” in 2020. She has continued to participate in international events, including sculpture symposia in Uruguay and the ArtJam Symposium in Højer, Denmark in 2024.

Nieva’s work is rooted in public art and collaborative environments, with a consistent presence in sculpture symposia and cultural festivals.
